GuardAero has secured the Protection Award at the Defence Innovation Pitch Day 2026 in Munich. The winning pitch presented GuardAero APS1, the active protection system engineered to protect military vehicles against close-range drone attacks.
GuardAero APS1 covers the full kill chain from detection to neutralisation. Using a kinetic effector, it complements existing protective layers as the Last Line of Defence against drones. The modular system is designed for integration into existing military vehicle fleets. Following successful live-fire trials, GuardAero is advancing vehicle integration in close cooperation with military users and industry.
