GuardAero FlexCo has successfully completed a financing round. The round was led by prominent lead investors Angels United GmbH and BKlemen Beteiligungsgesellschaft mbH. In addition, the start-up secured investments from several renowned business angels.
GuardAero develops active protection systems for military vehicles designed to protect soldiers from drone attacks. The systems are suitable for a wide range of vehicle types, allowing them to be integrated into existing military vehicle fleets.
GuardAero will use the investment to accelerate the further development of its system. The company is already preparing an additional financing round in the millions later this year to continue its growth trajectory and support its expansion.
“Drone threats in Europe are no longer a question of the future. Yet effective close-range protection for our soldiers remains unavailable. This financing enables us to responsibly advance our mission of protecting lives and fleets from drone attacks,” said Lukas Kerschdorfer, CEO of GuardAero FlexCo.
